MELP IEP instructors and all core faculty are expected to lead and attend Friday Fun Activities or other MELP-sponsored extracurricular events commensurate to the number of courses they teach. These activities can occur either on or off campus. A calendar of events for each semester can be found in the MELP Student Handbook.
Instructors leading and attending these events are responsible for ensuring everyone's safety and well-being. Refer to the MELP Safety Guidelines for more information on how to handle potential emergency situations during a MELP student activity.
If an emergency situation occurs at a MELP event, the faculty lead for the event should also fill out a MELP Emergency Response Form within 72 hours of the situation.
